“Die Glocke” / Bremen Report by Paul Deblond and Daniel Olsson.
Blackmore's Night entered at 21.10 and opened in the same fashion as before. But you could tell right away that Ritchie was not in a very good mood. I can't really blame him because the crowd was totally lame. We were about 8 enthusiastic people and 800 who didn't care at all and seemed to expect a Rainbow or Deep Purple show (not a bad idea though, but this is BN and all DP & Rainbow songs are just an added bonus). The band tried to put on a really good show but without a good crowd, it's almost impossible. Fires At Midnight was added into the set again after being left out for the past two gigs. One of the biggest surprises of the night was an amazing version of The Storm. I am very pleased they played it because it's a really good song. Anyway, the biggest surprise of the show was without a doubt Black Night. Once again Bob looked very surprised and didn't know if he or Candice should sing it. Bob's mic didn't seem to work so Candice sang the first verse with dash and Bob finished the song. I believe this is the first time they did Black Night since Berlin 2002 and it sounded bloody marvellous! Showtime: approxximately 2 hours and 10 minutes
